COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at Wright State University is designed to help students understand how society functions by examining social relationships, institutions, and patterns of human behavior in everyday life. The program focuses on how individuals interact within families, communities, workplaces, and government systems, and how these interactions are shaped by culture, inequality, and social norms. Students are trained to analyze the social world using sociological theories and research methods, allowing them to interpret complex social issues such as poverty, discrimination, education, crime, and social change.
