COURSE CURRICULUM

The curriculum requires a minimum of 42 credit hours in the major, including core courses such as INTL 1500 The World System since 1500, HRTS 1100 Introduction to Human Rights, HRTS 2500 Current Problems in Human Rights, PHIL 1200 Introduction to Philosophy or PHIL 2300 Social and Political Philosophy, HRTS 3500 Human Rights and Religions, HRTS 3600 Topics in Human Rights, HRTS 3700 Human Rights and International Law, MULC 2010 Introduction to Diversity and Identity in the U.S., HRTS 2086 Human Rights Area Studies, HRTS 3160 Human Rights in Film: Documentaries, HRTS 3170 Human Rights in Film: Narrative Films, HRTS 3200 Human Rights Law: Treaties Statutes and Courts, HRTS 3400 Human Rights in Practice: Interventions and Advocacy, HRTS 3590 Theories of Human Rights, and HRTS 4500 Human Rights Field Experience. Students must also complete general education requirements and electives to reach 120 credit hours total.
