COURSE CURRICULUM

The 42 credit hours required for the criminology and criminal justice major include: CRIM 1100 Introduction to Criminology and Criminal Justice (3 hours), CRIM 1800 Careers in Criminology and Criminal Justice (1 hour), CRIM 2250 Methods in Criminology and Criminal Justice (3 hours), CRIM 3010 Comparative Justice Systems (3 hours) or CRIM 3050 Corrections (3 hours), CRIM 3250 Crime and Delinquency (3 hours), CRIM 3300 Theories of Crime and Justice (3 hours), CRIM 3500 The Nature of Crime (3 hours), CRIM 3875 Criminology and Criminal Justice Lab (2 hours), CRIM 4900 Senior Capstone in Criminology and Criminal Justice (3 hours), CRIM 4901 Senior Thesis in Criminology and Criminal Justice (3 hours). Additional 15 credit hours from specified electives in CRIM, SOCI, PSYC, etc. Students must also complete general education requirements and electives to total 120 credit hours.
