COURSE CURRICULUM

LL.M. students have the opportunity to strengthen their degree by pursuing an optional Certificate in one of four specialized areas, allowing them to gain focused expertise alongside their general legal education. Each certificate requires the completion of 9 credit hours within the chosen specialty and is included as part of the overall 24-credit LL.M. requirement. Students can complete both the LL.M. degree and one certificate within a single academic year, making it a flexible and efficient way to build specialization.The Certificate in Negotiation and Dispute Resolution provides a strong foundation in conflict theory while offering practical, hands-on experience in business negotiation, mediation, and arbitration, preparing students for roles that involve resolving disputes in legal and corporate environments. The Certificate in Business and Corporate Law focuses on developing well-rounded business lawyers by covering areas such as corporate finance, law and economics, publicly traded corporations, and taxation, equipping students for careers in corporate practice.For those interested in global legal systems, the Certificate in International Law offers training in international human rights, international intellectual property, and international commercial arbitration, helping students build a strong international perspective. Meanwhile, the Certificate in Intellectual Property and Technology Law allows students to explore both foundational and advanced topics in intellectual property, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and emerging technologies, under expert guidance.Overall, these certificate options provide valuable flexibility and depth, enabling students to tailor their legal education to specific career paths while gaining both theoretical knowledge and practical skills relevant to their chosen field.
