COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master’s in Statistics with a concentration in Advanced Data Analytics is designed to provide students with flexible, accelerated, and industry-relevant training in modern data science and statistical applications. The program also offers customizable academic tracks, allowing students to choose from concentrations such as Digital Retailing, Health Data Analytics, Management, and Statistics, depending on their interests and career goals. For students who prefer in-person learning, courses are available at UNT at Frisco and the main Denton campus in a traditional 16-week semester format during fall and spring. The program is designed to meet the growing demand for professionals who can analyze and interpret data to improve business performance, manage risk, and support strategic decision-making across industries. It combines big data analytics, statistical methods, and data visualization to help students develop a strong understanding of how data can be used to optimize organizational processes. Core coursework includes Applied and Computational Statistics for Data Analytics, Advanced Quantitative Techniques, Empirical Linear Modeling, Time Series Econometrics and Forecasting, Biocomputing, and Applied Probability Modeling for Data Analytics, all of which build strong technical and analytical capabilities. Overall, the program prepares graduates for high-demand roles in data analytics by combining flexibility, technical depth, and real-world application of quantitative methods.
