COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Science in Library Science at the University of North Texas is a nationally recognized program designed to prepare students for advanced professional roles in libraries, archives, and information organizations. The program is supported by special lectures hosted by the college and department, where renowned scholars from the field of information science share diverse perspectives and insights, helping students stay connected to current research and emerging trends. Graduates of the program are prepared for a wide range of career paths in the information and library sciences field, including roles such as reference librarian, technical services librarian, youth and children’s librarian, museum or archive curator, special collections librarian, electronic resources librarian, cataloging and metadata librarian, instructional services librarian, law or legal librarian, institutional repository or digital collections manager, and data curation specialist.
