Students have access to specialized laboratories dedicated to archaeological science, earth science, geology, geomorphology, hydrology, ecosystems, remote sensing, and geographic information systems (GIS), providing hands-on experience with modern geographic technologies and research methods. Collaboration opportunities with faculty from the School of Public Health at the UNT Health Science Center and environmental science specialists further strengthen the interdisciplinary nature of the program. Additional academic support is available through specialized workshops and the Thesis Boot Camp offered by the Toulouse Graduate School, many of which are accessible online for convenience.
