COURSE CURRICULUM

The MBA with a Global Supply Chain Management (STEM) concentration is designed to prepare students to analyze, design, and manage complex global logistics and operations systems that support efficient and resilient business performance. The program begins with a foundation core of 4.5 credits in accounting, economics, and finance, followed by a 25-credit MBA core that develops broad managerial competencies in financial accounting, corporate finance, business analytics, global economics, marketing analysis, leadership, organizational strategy, and strategic management through a capstone course that integrates cross-functional business knowledge. The Global Supply Chain Management concentration then adds a minimum of 15 credits and is STEM-designated, reflecting its strong emphasis on quantitative analysis, data-driven decision-making, and operational optimization in global business environments. Required courses include Global Supply Chain Management, Managing Quality in the Supply Chain, Power BI and Dashboarding, and Risk Management, which collectively focus on logistics strategy, quality control, supply chain visibility, data visualization, and mitigation of operational and financial risks in global networks. Students then select an additional three credits from a wide range of analytical and applied electives such as accounting analytics, data visualization and communication, machine learning (supervised and unsupervised), database management, applied econometrics, decision analysis in operations management, data mining for business intelligence, supply chain analytics and resilience, business forecasting, and marketing analytics. These electives allow students to tailor their expertise toward areas such as operations strategy, logistics optimization, predictive analytics, and supply chain risk management. Internship opportunities may also be applied toward the concentration, providing hands-on exposure to real-world supply chain systems and industry practices. Overall, the program is structured to develop graduates who can integrate business strategy, analytics, and operations management to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance performance across global supply networks, preparing them for careers in logistics, operations management, consulting, and supply chain analytics.
