COURSE CURRICULUM

The AACSB-accredited Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) program at the University of New Haven is designed to prepare current and future business leaders by combining advanced business education with experiential learning and a strong global perspective, enabling graduates to succeed in today’s complex, interconnected, and multinational business environment. The program is structured with flexibility to serve a diverse student population and is offered in both full-time and part-time formats, with courses available in day, evening, hybrid, traditional, and online modalities to accommodate working professionals as well as students from non-business backgrounds. The curriculum is divided into a foundation core, a program core, and a concentration component. The foundation core consists of 4.5 credits in Accounting Foundations (ACCT 6619), Economics for Managers (ECON 6633), and Introduction to Finance (FINC 6601), which provide essential grounding in the key functional areas of business. The program core includes 25 credits of advanced coursework such as Managerial Accounting (ACCT 6621), Business Analytics with laboratory (BANL 6100 and BANL 6101), Managing in a Global Economy (ECON 6644), Corporate Finance (FINC 6602), Leadership and Team Building (MGMT 6663), Leading Organizational Strategy and Change (MGMT 6668), Strategic Management as a capstone course (MGMT 6669), and Marketing Analysis and Customer Value (MKTG 6610). After completing the core, students may pursue a Business Analytics concentration requiring a minimum of 9 credits, designed to develop technical expertise in data-driven decision-making, forecasting, and predictive analytics across business functions. The concentration includes advanced coursework in areas such as business forecasting, econometrics, accounting analytics, machine learning, data visualization, database management, operations decisions, supply chain analytics, marketing analytics, and applied econometrics, among others, with optional internship opportunities for applied industry experience. Overall, the program emphasizes analytical thinking, leadership, global awareness, and the ability to transform data into actionable business strategies. Graduates are prepared to lead data-informed decision-making processes, manage organizational change, and create value in complex `business environments across industries.
