COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Science in Business Analytics with a concentration in Global Supply Chain Analytics at University of New Haven combines business education, analytics, machine learning, and supply chain management to prepare students for data-driven careers in global operations and business strategy. Students complete the 41-credit Pompea College of Business University Core Curriculum, which develops strong foundations in mathematics, analytics, economics, entrepreneurship, and critical thinking through courses such as Applied Business Math, Introduction to Business Analytics, Introduction to Business and Entrepreneurship, Microeconomics, and Macroeconomics. The program also includes the Pompea College of Business core curriculum, where students study financial and managerial accounting, business finance, management, marketing, business law, ethics, analytics in value chains, and professional business development. These courses provide a broad understanding of modern business operations while strengthening leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. The major requirements focus heavily on analytics, quantitative modeling, and business intelligence. Students learn dashboarding techniques, data visualization, machine learning methods, database management, econometrics, forecasting, knowledge management, and decision-making under uncertainty. Through supervised and unsupervised machine learning courses, students develop the ability to uncover patterns in data, create predictive models, and support strategic business decisions using modern analytical tools and technologies. The curriculum culminates in a senior project that allows students to apply business analytics concepts to real-world organizational challenges. The Global Supply Chain Analytics concentration strengthens students’ understanding of supply chain efficiency, operational planning, and logistics management through specialized coursework in Quality Management, Operations Strategy, and either Business Planning and Modeling or New Venture Management and Growth. These courses help students understand how analytics can improve sourcing, procurement, logistics, forecasting, process optimization, and operational decision-making within global supply chains. Free electives allow students additional flexibility to explore related areas such as finance, healthcare management, marketing, or advanced analytics. Throughout the program, students develop technical, analytical, and managerial competencies that prepare them for careers in business analytics, supply chain analytics, operations management, logistics, consulting, forecasting, and business intelligence. The STEM-designated structure of the degree further enhances graduates’ competitiveness in industries increasingly dependent on data analysis, operational efficiency, and technology-driven decision-making in global business environments.
