COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Science in Zoology program at the University of New Hampshire is a comprehensive and rigorous degree designed to provide students with a deep understanding of animal life at multiple biological levels, from molecular processes to ecosystems and evolutionary relationships. Students must complete a structured core curriculum that includes foundational courses in introductory biology covering molecular and cellular biology as well as evolution, biodiversity, and ecology, along with applied biostatistics, ecology, genetics, physiology, and evolution. Core zoology courses such as comparative morphology of vertebrates, animal physiology with laboratory experience, and evolution further deepen understanding of animal form, function, and diversity. Students also complete a professional perspectives course in zoology and a capstone companion course that integrates and synthesizes their learning.
