COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Music with an option in Composition at the University of New Hampshire is a flexible, liberal arts–oriented degree that allows students to develop creative skills as composers while also completing a broad academic foundation in music and other disciplines. The program is structured around a core curriculum that includes music theory, ear training, functional piano, music history, world music, analysis, and applied performance study, along with ensemble participation. The B.A. structure also requires completion of the University Discovery Program and a foreign language proficiency requirement, reflecting its liberal arts emphasis.
