A major component of the program is master’s-level research, where students engage in either directed research in nanoscale science or complete a formal thesis in Nanosciences and Nanoengineering, providing hands-on experience in solving real scientific and engineering problems. In addition, students complete a seminar or approved external course worth three credits, which supports professional development and exposure to current advancements in the field. Overall, the program is designed to build both theoretical knowledge and practical research skills, preparing graduates for careers in high-technology industries, scientific research, and doctoral study in nanoscale science and engineering.
