COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) in Management is a 120-credit undergraduate degree designed to prepare students for leadership and managerial roles in a wide range of organizations and industries. The program combines a strong general education foundation with specialized business and management training to help students develop skills in leadership, organizational behavior, strategic planning, communication, entrepreneurship, and business operations. Students begin with the General Education Curriculum, which includes written communication through ENG 101 and ENG 102, natural sciences with laboratory courses, humanities, social and behavioral sciences, mathematics, aesthetic values, and both writing-intensive and speaking-intensive communication courses. The program concludes with a senior capstone course, MGT 400 Global Managerial Policy and Strategy, where students apply business knowledge to strategic management situations. The major area of study focuses on management-specific subjects such as Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, and Entrepreneurship, along with advanced electives in leadership, international management, supply chain management, organization theory, training and development, staffing, compensation management, nonprofit human resources, and new venture creation. Students can customize the degree toward interests such as entrepreneurship, leadership, global business, or human resource management while still maintaining a broad management background. In addition to the management courses, students complete an extensive College of Business core that includes accounting, finance, marketing, economics, business law, operations management, business analytics, management information systems, and international business coursework, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of how organizations function. Additional requirements include technical or business communication, computer or language-related coursework, advanced analytics or applied mathematics, business electives, and general electives approved by an advisor. The program emphasizes practical business knowledge, analytical thinking, teamwork, and leadership abilities needed for success in private companies, public organizations, and nonprofit institutions. Graduates are prepared for careers such as operations manager, business analyst, human resources manager, business development manager, project coordinator, supply chain specialist, or general manager, while also gaining a strong academic foundation for graduate business education such as an MBA.
