COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work is designed to prepare students for professional practice in a wide range of human service settings, including community agencies, healthcare systems, schools, and governmental or nonprofit organizations. The program emphasizes the development of knowledge, values, and skills needed to support individuals, families, and communities facing social, emotional, economic, or environmental challenges. Students are trained in core areas such as social welfare systems, human behavior and development, interviewing and communication skills, policy analysis, research methods, and crisis intervention, ensuring a strong foundation in both theory and applied practice. A central focus of the curriculum is promoting human rights and social justice, with students learning to address inequality, advocate for vulnerable populations, and work ethically according to professional social work standards. The program is structured in a progressive format, where coursework builds from introductory concepts to advanced practice and field education, requiring students to maintain academic standards and demonstrate competency at each stage.
