COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Science in Real Estate includes a focused set of major requirements totaling 18 credit hours, combining core coursework with a chosen concentration to provide both foundational knowledge and specialized expertise in the real estate field, where all students must complete three required courses covering key areas such as principles of real estate, property appraisal, and real estate finance and investment, ensuring they understand property valuation, market dynamics, and financial decision-making; in addition to these core subjects, students must select one of three concentrations, each requiring 9 credit hours and designed to align with specific career paths, including Brokerage, Property and Asset Management, Development and the Built Environment, or Finance and Investments, allowing students to tailor their education based on their professional interests; the Brokerage, Property and Asset Management concentration focuses on practical business and operational aspects such as real estate management, development, financial modeling, negotiations, entrepreneurship, and sales, preparing students for roles in property operations and client-facing services, while the Development and the Built Environment concentration emphasizes construction, urban economics, sustainability, and project planning, integrating real estate with engineering and development processes to prepare students for roles in infrastructure and construction-related projects; the Finance and Investments concentration, on the other hand, is designed for students interested in financial markets, investment strategies, banking, and advanced financial management, equipping them with skills to analyze and manage real estate assets from an investment perspective; some courses, such as real estate investment fund, may be taken multiple times for credit, adding flexibility to the program; overall, the curriculum provides a balanced mix of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, enabling students to specialize in a particular area while developing a comprehensive understanding of real estate business operations and financial strategies.
