COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business Cyber Security major requires students to achieve a grade of C- or higher in all courses within the program to ensure a solid understanding of both business and cybersecurity concepts. The major itself consists of 18 credit hours and is structured into core courses and electives. The core program includes three required courses totaling 9 credit hours: Cyber Security Strategy, Applied Cyber Security, and Organizational Security Management. These courses provide students with a foundation in managing cybersecurity initiatives, understanding organizational risks, and applying practical security solutions within a business environment. In addition to the core, students must complete 9 credit hours by selecting three elective courses from a list of specialized options. These electives allow students to tailor their knowledge in areas such as fraud risk management, enterprise network security, behavioral aspects of cybersecurity, cybercrime and digital forensics, or customer data management. This flexibility helps students align their studies with specific career interests. Overall, the program is designed to build both strategic and applied skills, preparing students to analyze risks, manage security systems, and support organizational cybersecurity efforts in professional settings.
