COURSE CURRICULUM

The Supply Chain and Operations Management major requires a comprehensive 120-credit-hour curriculum designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills to optimize the flow of materials, products, information, and finances across complex supply chains while enhancing organizational efficiency and customer satisfaction. The program begins with 36 credit hours of General Education coursework, emphasizing mathematics, statistics, writing, speaking, arts, humanities, natural sciences, social sciences, diversity, and integrated learning experiences to foster critical thinking and effective communication. An additional 10 credit hours of business requirements cover foundational mathematics, introductory statistics, professional development, leadership, and business communications to prepare students for core business coursework. The 42-credit College of Business Core includes courses in economics, accounting, finance, management, marketing, international business, and analytics, providing a strong foundation in business principles. The 30-credit Supply Chain/Operations focus incorporates management core courses, business information systems, and concentration-specific courses such as supply chain analysis, modeling and decision-making, logistics planning, operations strategy, and sourcing, alongside electives that allow students to tailor their learning to areas like cost management, enterprise resource planning, human resource management, and international business. Together, this integrated curriculum prepares graduates to manage and optimize supply chains strategically, positively impacting an organization’s bottom line while delivering value to customers, positioning them for successful careers in operations, logistics, procurement, and supply chain management across diverse industries.
