COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Business Administration in Information Systems requires a total of 120 credit hours and is structured to provide students with a comprehensive foundation in both business and technology. The program begins with 36 credit hours of General Education requirements, ensuring that students develop critical thinking, communication, and analytical skills, as well as a broad understanding of the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and global perspectives. In addition, students complete 3–4 credit hours of Additional Business Requirements, which introduce foundational business concepts and prepare students for advanced coursework. The College of Business Core consists of 42 credit hours, covering essential topics such as management, marketing, finance, accounting, and business law, emphasizing practical and strategic business competencies that complement technical training. The Information Systems Requirements, totaling 30–31 credit hours, focus on developing technical expertise in areas such as systems analysis, database management, programming, cybersecurity, data analytics, and emerging technologies, providing students with the skills to implement and manage technology solutions in organizational contexts. To complete the degree, students must also fulfill 7–9 credit hours of Additional Credits for Graduation, which may include electives or advanced courses that allow for specialization and deeper exploration of personal interests. This integrated curriculum ensures that graduates are well-prepared to pursue careers in IT management, systems consulting, data analytics, and other technology-driven business roles.
