COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology requires a total of 124 credit hours, combining general education, program-specific courses, and technical coursework to provide students with a comprehensive education in engineering technology. Students complete 23–25 credit hours of general education courses to build a strong foundation in mathematics, communication, and the sciences. Program-specific general education courses, totaling 15 credit hours, include essential math and physics sequences that support understanding of electrical and electronic principles. The curriculum integrates mechanical engineering technology courses, each requiring three credit hours, to develop essential skills in engineering drawing and applied mechanics. Electrical and electronic engineering technology courses form the core of the program, comprising 50–52 credit hours across introductory and advanced sequences, including circuit analysis, digital and analog electronics, microprocessor applications, control systems, and communications technology, all reinforced through laboratory and project-based experiences. Students also complete two credit hours of computer programming electives and 12 credit hours of additional electrical and electronic engineering technology electives to deepen technical expertise. Finally, six credit hours of technical electives allow students to tailor their studies to specific interests or career goals. This structured program equips graduates with the knowledge, practical skills, and problem-solving abilities necessary for successful careers in engineering technology and related fields.
