COURSE CURRICULUM

The Accounting Specialization includes a series of one-credit courses designed to provide focused knowledge in key areas of accounting. These courses include Intermediate Accounting I and II, Cost Accounting, Auditing, Government and Nonprofit Accounting, Advanced Accounting, Taxation I, and Advanced Auditing. Each course is offered in specific semesters, allowing students to plan their academic schedule accordingly while gaining progressive expertise in financial reporting, auditing practices, taxation, and specialized accounting fields.All of these courses count as free electives, giving students flexibility to incorporate them into their broader academic plan without affecting core requirements. This structure allows learners to deepen their accounting knowledge while still exploring other areas of interest within their degree program.In addition to accounting-specific courses, students may also take BUS 199, BUS 299A, BUS 399A, and BUS 499A, which typically represent experiential learning opportunities such as internships, independent study, or practical business experiences at different academic levels.
