COURSE CURRICULUM

Philosophy Pre-Law is an academically rigorous program designed to prepare students for the intellectual demands of legal studies and related professional fields. This major focuses on developing essential skills such as critical thinking, logical reasoning, and clear, persuasive argumentation, all of which are fundamental for success in law school and the legal profession. Students explore the history of philosophy while also engaging in contemporary debates on topics such as God, truth, nature, and the human person. Through the study of philosophical texts and ideas, they learn to analyze complex arguments, question assumptions, and construct well-reasoned perspectives.The curriculum places particular emphasis on philosophical topics that are closely connected to the study of law, helping students build a strong foundation in ethical reasoning, justice, and analytical thinking. This structured and systematic approach enhances students’ ability to interpret complex material and communicate ideas effectively. The program leads to a Bachelor of Arts degree and requires students to complete a total of 120 credit hours to graduate from the School of Philosophy.
