COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Drama offers students a comprehensive and engaging education in the theatrical arts, combining creative exploration with academic study. This program is designed for students who want to fully immerse themselves in theatre by exploring areas such as acting, directing, playwriting, design, technical production, and dramatic criticism. Through both classroom learning and hands-on production experience, students develop strong artistic, analytical, and collaborative skills that are essential in the performing arts.To graduate from the Rome School of Music, Drama, and Art, students must complete a total of 120 credit hours. This curriculum includes general education courses, major-specific requirements, and electives, providing a balanced academic experience that supports both creative development and intellectual growth. While 120 credit hours is the standard requirement for the BA in Drama, some professional programs within the school may require additional credits due to the intensive nature of performance, rehearsals, and production work.The program emphasizes not only artistic skill but also critical thinking and communication, preparing students to understand theatre as both an art form and a cultural expression.
