COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Science (M.S.) program offers a range of majors focused on health, human performance, exercise science, athletic training, and public health. These programs are designed to prepare students for professional practice, leadership roles, and advanced study in health-related fields. One major is Athletic Training (Professional Master’s), which focuses on preparing students for clinical practice in injury prevention, assessment, and rehabilitation. Another major is Exercise Science, which offers multiple pathways including general study, Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, Sport Coaching, Strength & Conditioning, and combinations of these areas, available in both thesis and non-thesis formats depending on whether students prefer research or applied practice.The program also includes Public Health Education and Promotion, with options such as Health Equity concentration, thesis, and non-thesis tracks. These focus on improving community health, disease prevention, and health education strategies. Thesis options across majors involve conducting original research, while non-thesis options emphasize applied coursework and professional preparation. Overall, the program provides flexible degree paths that equip graduates with strong scientific knowledge, practical skills, and research abilities for careers in healthcare, fitness, rehabilitation, coaching, and public health services.
