In Human Development and Family Sciences, students can choose a general track or specialize in the Child Life Specialist concentration, which prepares them to work with children and families in healthcare and support settings. These options are designed to develop strong knowledge of human development, family systems, and applied professional skills.The program also includes a major in Human Nutrition, which focuses on advanced nutrition science, health, and dietetics, and a major in Merchandising and Consumer Studies, which emphasizes consumer behavior, retail management, and market analysis. All of these majors offer both thesis options, which involve research and are suitable for students interested in academic or research careers, and non-thesis options, which focus more on coursework and practical application for industry roles.
