The Master of Science program offers a wide range of majors focused on health, fitness, and public health, providing students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills for diverse career paths. Students can choose specialized fields such as Athletic Training, Exercise Science, and Public Health Education and Promotion, depending on their interests and professional goals. The Athletic Training program is designed as a professional master’s degree, preparing students for clinical and hands-on roles in sports and healthcare settings. The Exercise Science major offers multiple pathways, including general non-thesis and thesis options, as well as specialized concentrations like Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, Sport Coaching, and Strength and Conditioning with Sport Coaching. These options allow students to focus on areas such as injury recovery, performance improvement, coaching strategies, and athletic development, while choosing between research-oriented thesis tracks or practical non-thesis routes.In addition, the Public Health Education and Promotion major provides opportunities to study community health, with options including a Health Equity concentration and both thesis and non-thesis pathways. This area focuses on improving public health outcomes, addressing disparities, and promoting wellness through education and community-based strategies.
