COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Arts program offers multiple majors focused on education, student success, and teaching at both postsecondary and school levels. One major is Postsecondary Student Success in Learning, Literacy, and Mathematics, which includes concentrations in Developmental Mathematics, Learning Support, and Literacy. These pathways are designed to prepare graduates to support college students through academic assistance programs, literacy instruction, and mathematics education. Each concentration develops specialized knowledge to help improve student learning outcomes in higher education environments.The program also offers majors in Elementary Education and Secondary Education, with additional specialized options. Elementary Education includes concentrations such as Early Childhood Education, Creativity, Talent, and Transformation, and Bilingual/Bicultural education, all of which prepare teachers to work effectively with diverse young learners. Secondary Education also includes a Creativity, Talent, and Transformation concentration, focusing on innovative teaching approaches for adolescent learners. Overall, the program prepares graduates for careers in teaching, academic support, and educational leadership by combining theory, practice, and specialization in various educational fields.
