COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Arts in Applied Philosophy and Ethics offers students two flexible pathways, thesis and non-thesis, designed to develop advanced skills in critical thinking, argumentation, and ethical analysis. The program emphasizes the practical application of philosophical ideas through dialogue, interdisciplinary study, and engagement with real-world issues across various fields. Students are encouraged to participate in academic discussions and explore how philosophy connects with other disciplines to address complex societal challenges.The thesis option is designed for students who plan to pursue doctoral studies or research-focused careers. It involves completing a 30-credit-hour program that includes writing a thesis under the supervision of a philosophy faculty member. The non-thesis option requires 33 credit hours and focuses more on coursework and applied learning, allowing students to build strong analytical and communication skills without a formal thesis requirement. Both options prepare graduates for careers in education, public service, ethics consulting, and other fields where critical reasoning and ethical decision-making are essential.
