COURSE CURRICULUM

In the freshman year, the focus is primarily on general education courses such as communication, mathematics, science, history, and government, which help students develop essential academic and analytical skills. At the same time, introductory Geography courses like GEO 1309 or GEO 1310 and GEO 2301 provide an early understanding of physical and human geography, while GEO 2110 introduces laboratory-based learning, giving students their first exposure to practical geographic analysis.As students move into the sophomore year, the program begins to emphasize core Geography subjects more strongly. Courses like GEO 2426 (Geographic Information Systems) introduce students to mapping technologies and spatial data analysis, which are key technical skills in the field.
