COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy at Texas State University follows a structured four-year plan totaling 120 credit hours, combining general education, philosophy coursework, language study, and a minor. In the freshman year, students focus on foundational subjects including English composition, modern language courses, life and physical sciences, and an introductory philosophy course such as Philosophy and Critical Thinking or Ethics and Society.
