COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Science in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering program offers students the opportunity to specialize in one of four tracks: Thermal/Fluids, Solids/Structure, Design/Manufacturing, or a General track, allowing flexibility to align studies with specific interests and career goals. Each specialization provides focused knowledge and technical depth in key areas of engineering, enabling students to build expertise in subjects such as heat transfer and fluid dynamics, structural analysis, product design, or manufacturing systems. The program is designed to support both professional advancement and preparation for doctoral studies, combining advanced coursework with opportunities for research and practical application.Admission to the program requires applicants to hold a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or a closely related field. Students who do not have an engineering degree or who lack sufficient background preparation may be required to complete additional coursework to address any deficiencies and ensure readiness for graduate-level study. Admission decisions are based on several factors, including the applicant’s undergraduate academic performance, Graduate Record Examination scores, and letters of recommendation that demonstrate recent technical proficiency and potential for success in the program. Typically, a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) is expected, along with a GRE Quantitative score of around 700 on the old scale, or approximately 155 on the revised scale.Overall, the program combines flexibility in specialization with rigorous admission standards to ensure that students are well-prepared for advanced study.
