COURSE CURRICULUM

SLU students in the accounting program have the option to graduate with a 120-credit bachelor's degree. However, students planning to sit for the CPA examination and obtain licensure are generally required to complete 150 college credits in most states. To meet this requirement, students can take several paths: they can either complete the 150 credits at the undergraduate level (often by pursuing a double major), finish the 120-credit bachelor's degree and then complete a 30-credit Master of Accounting degree, or enroll in the Integrated Accounting Program, which allows students to earn both the undergraduate and graduate degrees in accounting simultaneously. Additionally, the Department of Accounting offers the Accounting Scholars Program for qualified incoming freshmen.
