COURSE CURRICULUM

A Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Saint Louis University offers an in-depth study of the art world, with a curriculum that covers a wide range of art, allowing students to explore specific periods of interest. The major and minor are available at both the St. Louis and Madrid campuses. The program provides a strong, balanced foundation in global art traditions through core courses, designed by faculty to develop essential art historical methodologies such as critical analysis, social history, and semiotics. To earn a B.A. in Art History, students must complete 37 credits of required coursework, with 18 of those credits coming from 3000- and 4000-level courses.
