COURSE CURRICULUM

The M.S. in Management with an Organizational Management concentration at St. Joseph’s University, Brooklyn, is a 36-credit program designed for working professionals seeking senior leadership roles in public, private, or nonprofit organizations. Admission requires foundational knowledge in accounting, business, and statistics. Prerequisites include ACC 200 or GMSC 502; BUS 100, BUS 130, HA 481, NU 231, NU 431, or GMSC 501; BUS/ECO 120, BUS/ECO 226, or GMSC 504; and MAT 151, BUS 222, or GMSC 503.The program is divided into core management courses (24 credits) and a specialized Organizational Management concentration (12 credits). The core courses develop strategic leadership, analytical, and managerial skills. They include MGT 500, Leadership and Managerial Development; MGT 510, Legal Issues in Management; MGT 520, Organizational Theory and Design; MGT 525, Marketing Concepts and Strategies; MGT 530, Management Information Systems; MGT 545, Financial Accounting and Analysis; MGT 610, Statistical Applications in Research and Management; and MGT 690, Integrative Analysis in Management. These courses provide students with a strong foundation in organizational behavior, decision-making, operations, and ethical leadership.The Organizational Management concentration (12 credits) focuses on advanced managerial expertise and strategic organizational planning. Courses include OM 550, Strategic Human Resources Management; OM 630, Managerial Economics; OM 651, Project Management; and OM 670, Strategic Planning and Management. These courses prepare students to manage organizational resources effectively, lead change initiatives, develop long-term strategies, and align operations with organizational objectives.Graduates are equipped to assume leadership positions, improve workplace performance, and drive organizational success.
