The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Entrepreneurship at SEMO is designed to prepare students to launch new ventures, manage small and family businesses, and drive innovation in corporate environments. The program combines a strong business foundation with specialized entrepreneurial training to develop skills in opportunity recognition, creative problem-solving, financial decision-making, and business development. Support courses in economics, communication, statistics, mathematics, and professional skills further strengthen analytical thinking and workplace readiness.The Entrepreneurship major itself focuses on applied, hands-on learning. Students take courses such as Principles of Entrepreneurship, Creative Problem Solving in Business, Managing Family and Small Businesses, New Product Development and Innovation Management, and Business Planning for New Ventures. These courses help students learn how to identify business opportunities, evaluate risks, and create sustainable business models. A key feature of the program is the Entrepreneurship Practicum, where students work on venture creation projects that simulate or develop real business ideas. Financial literacy is also emphasized through Entrepreneurial Finance, which teaches students how startups are funded and managed.Students can further customize their degree through electives in areas such as internships, negotiation, human resource management, leadership, project management, and professional selling, allowing them to build additional managerial and communication skills.
