COURSE CURRICULUM
The Physics and Electrical Engineering program at SEMO is an ABET-accredited engineering degree designed to prepare students with a strong foundation in physics, mathematics, and electrical engineering principles, along with the practical skills needed to solve complex real-world problems. In addition, students complete a structured sequence of mathematics courses—including calculus, differential equations, and probability and statistics—which supports their ability to model and analyze engineering systems effectively. Supporting coursework in chemistry and engineering economics further strengthens their technical and professional foundation. The program also emphasizes engineering design processes and encourages students to evaluate solutions in the context of societal needs such as sustainability, safety, and efficiency. With its ABET accreditation, the degree meets national standards for engineering education and prepares students to take the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, a key step toward becoming a licensed Professional Engineer.
