COURSE CURRICULUM

The Cybersecurity major at SEMO is a comprehensive, 78-hour program designed to prepare students for professional roles in protecting computer systems, networks, and digital information. The curriculum begins with foundational coursework in programming, discrete structures, computer systems, and operating systems, giving students a strong technical base in how computers function at both hardware and software levels. As students progress, they move into more specialized areas such as databases, software engineering, and computer networking, which are essential for understanding how modern digital systems are built and maintained. A significant portion of the program focuses on cybersecurity-specific topics, including information security, system administration, web application security, cloud computing, digital forensics, and cyber operations.
