COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Arts in English Literature provides students with a comprehensive study of literary genres, historical periods, and critical approaches across British, American, and global literatures, while developing strong skills in reading, writing, analysis, and research. The program begins with foundational coursework in critical thinking, writing, and literary history, including surveys of literature from early traditions through modern and contemporary periods. Students also complete core writing requirements such as advanced composition and a writing workshop to strengthen academic and professional communication skills. A key feature of the degree is its global and comparative focus, requiring students to engage with literature from diverse regions including the Americas, Africa, Asia, and the Pacific, as well as film and cross-cultural texts.
