COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Science in Technology Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship at RIT (Technology Management Option) is a 30-credit graduate program designed to prepare students to lead innovation, manage technology-driven organizations, and make data-informed strategic decisions in fast-changing business environments. In the first year, students begin with core courses in Global Business Analytics and Introduction to Data Analytics and Business Intelligence, which build foundational skills in interpreting data and using analytics for decision-making, along with Management of Innovation, which focuses on how new ideas are developed, evaluated, and brought to market, and Leading Teams in Organizations, which builds leadership and organizational behavior skills necessary for managing technical and business teams. In the spring semester, students continue with Technology Strategy, which examines how organizations plan and compete using emerging technologies, along with a Data Management and Analytics elective and a Managerial Skills elective, allowing students to tailor their learning to specific interests in analytics, leadership, or business systems, followed by either Field Exam Preparation with an additional elective or a Graduate Project option. In the summer semester, students complete additional coursework in both Data Management and Analytics and Managerial Skills electives to further deepen their technical and managerial expertise. Overall, the program emphasizes the integration of technology, analytics, leadership, and innovation strategy, preparing graduates for roles such as technology manager, product manager, innovation consultant, business analyst, or entrepreneurial leader. Students graduate with the ability to evaluate opportunities, lead teams, and execute technology-driven strategies that create value in organizations across industries.
