COURSE CURRICULUM

Programs like Finance MS, Global Supply Chain Management MS, Information Technology and Analytics MS, Product Development MS, Manufacturing Leadership MS, and Hospitality Business Management MS typically span about 30 credits, while studio- and research-intensive degrees such as Fine Arts Studio MFA, Industrial Design MFA, Photography and Related Media MFA, Medical Illustration MFA, Metals and Jewelry Design MFA, Glass MFA, Furniture Design MFA, and Mechanical Engineering MS may range from 30 to 60 credits depending on studio or thesis requirements. Across most technical and analytical degrees, students begin with foundational courses in areas such as accounting, analytics, engineering systems, programming, statistics, or research methods, followed by discipline-specific advanced electives that allow specialization in fields like supply chain optimization, game development, human-computer interaction, imaging science, semiconductor fabrication, physics, materials science, or industrial systems. Many programs integrate applied learning components such as capstone projects, industry internships, thesis research, or portfolio development to ensure real-world experience and professional readiness. Studio-based MFA programs emphasize intensive graduate studios, critique-based learning, research seminars, and professional practice courses, culminating in a thesis exhibition or creative body of work. Engineering and science programs often require graduate seminars, laboratory research, and thesis credits focused on innovation and technical problem-solving. Several programs also include electives in business, leadership, marketing, or communication to build cross-disciplinary skills.
