COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Science in Computer Science program at Post University is a 33-credit graduate program, with students required to complete 36 credits if MCS 500, Foundations of Computer Science, is needed. The program’s core curriculum consists of 18 credits covering advanced topics essential for computing professionals, including theoretical computer science and its applications, advanced cryptography, algorithms, artificial intelligence, operating systems management, and cybersecurity foundations and practices. In addition to the core, students complete 12 credits of concentration courses tailored to their area of focus, and a 3-credit capstone course, MCS 600, which emphasizes real-world problem solving by integrating knowledge and skills gained throughout the program. For those pursuing the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning concentration, the 12-credit specialized curriculum includes courses in machine learning applications, computational statistics and deep learning, ethics in AI and cybersecurity, and emerging technologies and innovation, offering both theoretical foundations and practical skills needed to develop intelligent systems, predictive models, and innovative solutions.
