COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a Project Management concentration is a 39-credit program designed to equip students with a strong foundation in business principles while providing specialized knowledge and skills in project management. The program begins with a 3-credit foundation course, BUS 502 – Foundations in Business, which introduces essential business concepts. The 21-credit core curriculum includes BUS 503 – Individual Performance and Leading Change, BUS 509 – Descriptive Analytics and Decisions, BUS 515 – Organizational Dynamics and Effectiveness, BUS 522 – Corporate Finance for Managers, BUS 524 – Strategic Marketing, BUS 528 – Strategy, Operations and Execution, and BUS 530 – Project Management, providing a broad understanding of managerial, analytical, and strategic practices necessary for effective leadership. The 12-credit Project Management concentration includes BUS 604 – Virtual Teams and Opportunities, BUS 623 – Project and Risk Management, BUS 638 – Issues and Applications in Project Management, and BUS 640 – Emerging Topics in Business, preparing students to manage projects, assess risks, lead virtual and global teams, and address contemporary project management challenges. Students may substitute one concentration course with BUS 697 – Internship, subject to academic department approval, for practical experience. The program culminates with the 3-credit capstone course, BUS 695 – Capstone Experience, allowing students to synthesize and apply their knowledge to real-world business and project management scenarios, ensuring readiness for leadership roles in diverse organizational settings.
