COURSE CURRICULUM

Post University’s Bachelor of Science in Sport Management requires 120 credits, blending general education, business fundamentals, and specialized sport management courses. The program begins with 60 general education credits including English, communication, digital skills, math, science, liberal arts, and electives to build a broad academic foundation. The business core of 21 credits covers essential topics such as accounting, quality standards, Excel, macroeconomics, finance, management principles, marketing, and culminates with a business policy seminar as a capstone. The sport management major core includes 24 credits focusing on sport-specific subjects like foundations of sport management, sport in society, athletic administration or event and facility management, sport marketing, sport law, sport economics, and an internship for practical experience. Students complete 9 credits of directed electives at the 300-400 level, chosen under advisement to deepen expertise. The program also offers concentrations such as Sport Communication—covering sports broadcasting history, social media management, and sport communication—and Sport Psychology, which includes fundamentals of psychology, personality theories, and sport psychology. In place of a concentration, students may select three directed electives. The curriculum is designed to prepare students for diverse careers in the fast-evolving sports industry by combining business knowledge with specialized sport management skills.
