COURSE CURRICULUM

The Associate of Science in Marketing program at Post University is a 60-credit degree designed to provide students with a solid foundation in marketing principles while preparing them for entry-level positions or further study in business and marketing. The program includes 27 general education credits that develop essential skills in communication, critical thinking, digital literacy, mathematics, and liberal arts. Core courses such as College Writing, Literature and Composition, Introduction to Communication, Digital Skills for College and Career, College Algebra, and Business Law I strengthen students’ academic and professional competencies, while electives allow exploration of additional areas of interest. The 30-credit major core combines foundational business knowledge with specialized marketing skills. The 18-credit business core includes Accounting Essentials, Baldrige Principles and Introduction to Quality Standards, Macroeconomics, Principles of Finance, Principles of Management, and Principles of Marketing. The 12-credit major coursework focuses on marketing applications, including Retail Merchandising and Management or Business-to-Business Marketing, The Science of Selling, Social Media Marketing, and a 200-level marketing elective, emphasizing technological trends, consumer behavior, and strategic marketing practices. Additionally, the College Success Seminar equips students with career readiness and professional development skills. Graduates gain practical marketing knowledge, analytical skills, and an understanding of contemporary business practices, preparing them to contribute effectively in diverse marketing and business environments.
