Core courses typically establish foundational knowledge in research methods, discipline-specific theory, statistics or quantitative analysis, and professional writing, often including GWAR-designated graduate writing requirements. Breadth or specialization components allow students to tailor their studies toward subfields such as cognitive psychology, cybersecurity, data science, community health, bilingual education, urban design, taxation strategies, software systems engineering, or clinical nursing practice, depending on the program.
