The One-Year MBA program allows students to specialize in areas that align with their career goals and provides hands-on experiences to strengthen practical skills in addition to foundational business knowledge Students pursuing a finance concentration develop expertise in portfolio management corporate finance investment banking financial institutions management and financial risk management The required core courses in this concentration include business valuation financial modeling and investments and portfolio management These courses equip students with analytical skills to assess financial statements evaluate investment opportunities and construct diversified portfolios Students also select four units from a list of electives such as mergers and acquisitions management of financial risk real estate investing and finance debt securities entertainment and media finance special topics in finance or units earned through the Bryant Stibel Internship Program allowing them to tailor the concentration to their interests and gain real-world experience In the marketing concentration students acquire knowledge of marketing strategy consumer behavior market research and digital marketing communications Core courses include marketing research consumer behavior and marketing communications for the digital age These courses develop skills to analyze market trends understand customer behavior design marketing campaigns and measure marketing effectiveness Students then complete four units from electives such as product innovation and management technology in marketing global marketing brand management special topics in marketing or the global business intensive course The Global Business Intensive course provides international exposure and practical application opportunities although students are limited to two units and must ensure the selected topic aligns with the concentration The flexible structure of the One-Year MBA program allows students to integrate core learning with specialized skills in finance or marketing providing a comprehensive understanding of business operations and the tools to make strategic decisions in complex business environments This approach prepares graduates to accelerate their careers transition to new industries or assume leadership positions with confidence and competence.
