COURSE CURRICULUM

The Executive MBA in Information Technology (EMBA-IT) program is structured to ensure students enter with adequate foundational knowledge while developing advanced business and IT leadership competencies. Prospective students who have not completed prior coursework in accounting and economics must fulfill prerequisites by completing at least one undergraduate accounting course and one economics course with a minimum grade of “C,” or by successfully completing the MBA Math course before enrolling in key core courses such as Managerial Economics and Management Accounting, which are also prerequisites for Managerial Finance. The core business curriculum covers organizational behavior, professional ethics, managerial economics, finance, and accounting, culminating in a capstone seminar in business policy and strategy that integrates learning across disciplines. The IT concentration deepens expertise in systems analytics, networking and cybersecurity, data analytics, cloud computing, database architecture, and the management of information systems, blending technical and strategic perspectives. Applied learning is reinforced through required executive practicums, where students gain hands-on experience by working in IT or IT management roles while participating in faculty-led seminars. Overall, the EMBA-IT program prepares professionals to make ethical, data-driven, and technology-informed decisions in complex organizational environments.
