COURSE CURRICULUM

The Health Care Management program at NU offers a comprehensive, four-year curriculum designed to equip students with the business and leadership skills necessary for success in the health care industry. In the freshman year, students are introduced to foundational courses in composition, management, marketing, business software, and philosophy, along with a dedicated introduction to health care management. Math options provide flexibility based on skill level, while the spring semester builds on these foundations with courses in microeconomics, professional development, and health care-specific human resource management.During the sophomore year, students dive deeper into business principles with financial and managerial accounting, macroeconomics, and health care economics. They also explore the cultural and linguistic aspects of health care and choose from courses in environmental science or public speaking to round out their general education. Leadership development continues through courses that enhance students' ability to guide teams and navigate complex organizations.In the junior year, students study marketing tailored to health care, financial management, business law, and statistical analysis.
