COURSE CURRICULUM

Students in the Biology: Biomedical Sciences program at Northwest Missouri State University can choose from several specialized pre-professional tracks that align with their career goals in healthcare and science. These include pre-chiropractic, which prepares students for careers in spinal health and musculoskeletal treatment; pre-dentistry, focused on oral health and dental care; and pre-medicine, designed for those aiming to become physicians. Students interested in vision care can pursue the pre-optometry track, while the pre-physician assistant pathway prepares students to work alongside doctors in clinical settings. Additionally, the pre-veterinary track is ideal for those who want to work with animals in medical and healthcare roles. Each of these pathways allows students to tailor their coursework to meet the admission requirements of professional schools while building a strong foundation in biology, anatomy, physiology, and related sciences.
