COURSE CURRICULUM

Admission to the Bachelor of Applied Science program at Northwest Missouri State University is limited to students who have completed approved vocational, technical, or military-based education. This ensures that applicants already possess practical skills and foundational knowledge that can be built upon in the program. Eligible students typically include those who have earned a one-year or two-year technical certificate from a community or junior college, as well as those who have completed an Associate of Applied Science degree. In some cases, students with an Associate of Science degree may also qualify, provided their program is technical or vocational in nature.Additionally, individuals with military education and training can apply through credit earned on a Joint Services Transcript. Students with 24 to 59 credit hours, as well as those with 60 or more credit hours from military experience, are considered eligible. This flexible admission structure allows a wide range of students with hands-on training and professional experience to continue their education. Overall, the program is designed to recognize prior learning and provide a pathway for students to advance their qualifications efficiently while building on their existing technical expertise.
